Rin's 30-Day MIRANEST Journey

The coat that never grew back after her surgery

In February 2021, Rin misjudged a jump and her luxating patella got much worse. Surgery was scheduled, and she was clipped short all over to prepare for it.

The coat never came back. Instead it kept thinning, and Rin was diagnosed with Alopecia X.

Four years later her owner tried MIRANEST for 30 days and wrote down what changed — including the parts that did not.

Meet Rin

A Pomeranian whose coat stopped growing back after a pre-surgery clip

Rin is a cream Pomeranian from Aomori, born in November 2019. She is a careful eater, a devoted companion, and — since 2021 — a dog whose hind quarters and back have stayed bare.

For 30 days she had one MIRANEST Jelly Stick a day, added to her usual meals.

Around day 20, both of us looked at her and thought the same thing — is the coat just a tiny bit fuller than it was?

What Rin's owner was up against

1. A clip that never grew out

One missed jump in 2021, and her patella needed surgery. She was clipped short to prepare for it — and from that day the coat fell rather than returned. The diagnosis was Alopecia X.

2. A dog who barely ate

Rin left more than half of every meal. Her owner put it plainly: if she will not eat, there is nothing to build a coat from.

Getting her to eat it

The first stick was sweet potato. Rin sniffed it and walked away.

Her owner crushed one of her usual treats over the top, and after that she ate it happily every day.

By the end of the 30 days that trick was no longer needed. When they bought the chicken flavour, she finished it on the spot with nothing sprinkled on it at all.

Rin's 30-day journey

Ten days in

No visible change to the bare areas yet.

The difference her owner did notice was at the bowl — Rin had started finishing her meals instead of leaving them.

The first thing they both saw

Around the twenty-day mark, both owners independently felt the coat was covering slightly more ground than before.

Small, and honestly hard to be certain of — but they agreed on it without prompting each other.

One month done

Thirty days in, the regrowth is early and partial — but it is regrowth, on skin that had stayed bare for four years.

The appetite held all month too: every meal finished, digestion settled into a steady rhythm.

What one month actually changed

Rin’s owner wrote up the month plainly, without rounding anything up:

  • Coat — a little more ground covered than at the start.
  • Appetite and digestion — every meal finished, on a steady twice-daily rhythm.

Her conclusion was not that it was finished. It was that it was worth another month.

She used to leave more than half of every meal, and now she clears the bowl. If she does not eat, nothing can grow — so as a first step this made us very happy. We have decided to buy it and keep going.

An easy everyday routine

Simple to serve, every single day

The sticks can be served straight from the pack or stirred into a meal, which is how Rin has hers. That made it easy to keep going daily without turning it into a production.
